The community is invited to attend the July 22 Parks & Recreation Commission meeting at the Vista Civic Center for a discussion on potential locations for new pickleball courts at Brengle Terrace Park.

Free Tree Giveaway Program

Since its launch in April, the City’s residential free tree program has been a tremendous success, and we are excited to continue offering free trees to Vista residents. Here's how it works:

Who is eligible for a free tree?

Every Vista resident qualifies! Simply provide proof of residency with a current address on a driver’s license, State of California ID card, or an official mail item like a utility bill along with photo identification.

Where can I plant my tree?

The trees from the Free Tree Program must be planted on private property with the property owner’s permission. Just follow the program's planting guidelines, which specify that trees cannot be planted in any public right-of-way.

Take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to green your space and contribute to a healthier environment!

The McClellan Senior Center's Culture Caravan program invites you to "Sun & Seas with Seals" on September 11. Roundtrip transportation is provided from the McClellan Senior Center. You'll tour the land and the sea in San Diego and the harbor in this unique excursion. Cost is $97.

Shopping Shuttle Visits Target

Go "out and about" on July 24 when the McClellan Senior Center provides transportation to the Target store on University Drive. Reservations must be made two days prior by calling 760.643.5284.

Join the Joy Walkers for a fun and refreshing stroll near the McClellan Senior Center every second and fourth Wednesday of the month! We'll kick off our adventure in the lobby of the senior center at 9 a.m. See you there!
