Reconciliation is a vital journey of understanding, healing, and unity. Through meaningful actions like land acknowledgments, cultural exchange programs, and educational initiatives, we bridge the gap between indigenous and non-indigenous communities. By acknowledging the traditional lands and histories, we pave the way for mutual respect and collaboration.
Cultural exchange fosters empathy and appreciation, while education challenges stereotypes and promotes understanding. Supporting indigenous-led initiatives and advocating for equitable policies are also crucial steps towards reconciliation.
Together, we strive for a society where indigenous rights are upheld, and all voices are heard. Let's walk this path together with humility, empathy, and determination, creating a future of harmony and justice.

2SLGBTQIA+ - One acronym, many communities: Ways to build a welcoming workplace culture for all
Even if you don’t know exactly what each letter in the 2SLGBTQIA+ acronym means, you are probably aware that it represents gender and sexual minority groups. “Over recent years, the acronym has grown to become more inclusive of the wealth of diversity in the queer community,” says Tova Larsen, a Health and Safety Consultant with WSPS. As employers work toward creating inclusive workplaces, understanding what this acronym means and the distinct communities it represents is an important step in fostering a work environment that is free from harassment and discrimination.

The Government of Canada proposes new rebate to help businesses with carbon pollution pricing
The Canada Carbon Rebate for Small Businesses is a refundable tax credit proposed in Budget 2024 to return a portion of federal fuel charge proceeds directly to eligible Canadian-controlled private corporations (CCPCs).
Once legislation is enacted, the Canada Revenue Agency would work towards issuing the retroactive payments, which total over $2.5 billion with respect to the 2019-2020 to 2023-2024 fuel charge years. You can get ready by filing your 2023 corporate income tax return no later than July 15, 2024.
For more information on how the rebate payments would be calculated and the designated provinces, go to Canada Carbon Rebate for Small Businesses - Canada.ca
