ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT

Broncos Alumnus Julius Thomas Tackles New Role as Clinical Psychologist

During his time with the Denver Broncos, Julius Thomas was celebrated for his breakout performance and key role in the team's offensive strategy, particularly in red zone situations. As a tight end, he contributed significantly to the Broncos' dynamic passing game. Post-retirement, Thomas has focused on exploring his interests outside of football, particularly in the field of psychology. His current pursuits reflect a dedication to personal growth and a desire to contribute to areas beyond the realm of sports.

In 2023, Thomas earned a master’s in clinical psychology and is currently pursuing his Psy.D in clinical Health Psychology at Nova Southeastern University. Julius founded Mastery Development in which he offers services for mental health and wellness improvements in areas like executive coaching, team workshops, and group speaking events.

He also co-founded NESTRE, a neuroscience-based training solutions company, and serves on the advisory board for the Football Players Health Study at Harvard University, dedicating his post-NFL career to mental health and cognitive strength.

Thomas's evolution from celebrated athlete to a psychology professional cements his place in the hearts of Broncos fans as both an exceptional player and a deeply compassionate individual.
