When you see yourself represented in sport, everything is possible. It’s time to make room for Runner 321.
Starting at the 126th Boston Marathon, bib 321 will now be held for a neurodivergent athlete each year to inspire the community to see what’s possible.
We’re honored to have Chris Nikic wear bib 321 in the 126th Boston Marathon. As he takes on the 26.2-mile course from Hopkinton to Boston for the second time in six months, he continues to show athletes everywhere that impossible is nothing. #Runner321 #ImpossibleIsNothing

Take Part in a Boston Marathon Sports Medicine Research Study
|
|
Help in the effort to improve health and wellness in the marathoner community! Please consider donating your time to participate in the Sports Medicine research study “Energy Availability, Health, and Performance among Boston Marathon 2022 Athletes,” available at this link, before race day.
This brief (15-minute) confidential and encrypted survey is aimed at improving the medical community’s understanding of the complex factors that impact marathoners’ health and performance. Dr. Kristin Whitney, Dr. Kate Ackerman, and the research team in the Division of Sports Medicine at Boston Children's Hospital-Harvard Medical School launched this study with the goal of improving medical care, injury prevention, and health promotion for marathoners. The survey asks about training routines, nutrition, basic health, injury history, energy/recovery, and marathon goals. Study participation is completely voluntary. For those who consent to participate, confidential survey answers will be compared with health and performance results to assess how pre-race factors may affect marathon outcomes. The survey is fully encrypted, responses de-identified for HIPAA compliance, and data is aggregated with thousands of respondents to protect individual privacy. Thank you for considering joining the movement to improve support for athletes’ health, performance, and well-being– and best of luck on Marathon Monday!
