Until Tomorrow

Answer: A) MS-DOS

The IBM PC, released in 1981, adopted Microsoft's MS-DOS (Microsoft Disk Operating System) as its primary operating system. This decision proved pivotal for both IBM and Microsoft. The IBM PC's success propelled MS-DOS to become the dominant operating system for personal computers throughout the 1980s, establishing Microsoft as a major player in the software industry.

MS-DOS's text-based interface and command-line operation might seem archaic today, but it provided a crucial foundation for the personal computing revolution. It enabled users to interact with the computer, run software applications, manage files, and perform essential tasks. Although MS-DOS has since been superseded by more graphical and user-friendly operating systems, its impact on the evolution of personal computing remains undeniable.

Tomorrow's Cool Tip is waiting to amaze you.
