Transfer Bootcamp is a 2-day event for new and continuing students planning to transfer. Learn about the transfer process: choosing the right school, writing admissions essays, financial aid, and tips to make transferring easy!

Need to submit your fall transfer applications? Visit the ACC Career and Transfer Center at the Highland Campus from 10am-3pm to get in-person assistance with completing and submitting your transfer applications.

Jose Arce began his journey from ACC and transferred to The University of Texas at Austin last year, where he is pursuing his undergraduate degree in International Relations. 


Jose offers an important piece of advice to prospective transfer students: “Try your best. I was not guaranteed an admissions decision at UT-Austin. However, I knew I’d feel better having tried my best. Whether accepted or not, knowing I gave my all mattered most. Do your best work and look for those who are willing to help transfer students.”

Kierra Penkoff works as a Summer Intern with ACC’s Transfer Services team. She has had a wonderful experience working at ACC thus far, and loves everyone’s warm and welcoming nature. She started her own educational journey at a community college, and feels great being back in a similar environment. 


Kierra’s advice to students intending to transfer: “Double check, triple check, even quadruple check that the classes you’re taking will transfer to the university of your choice, so that you don’t delay your graduation! Take advantage of the Transfer Specialists we have at ACC and make sure you are on the right track for transferring!”

New Affordability Scholarships to Help Current Students Finish

The ACC Board of Trustees unanimously approved additional Affordability Scholarships for current students during its regular meeting on Monday, July 1. Under the new program, ACC will cover the final credit hours for any student registered in Spring 2024. Read more to learn about how the program works and who qualifies. 


Texas State Launches New Online Undergraduate and Graduate Programs

Texas State University  is adding new, online undergraduate and graduate degree program offerings this fall. The 19 online programs are tailored for working adults seeking to advance their education and career prospects. The list of programs can be found here. 


Concordia Reduces Tuition Costs by Nearly 40%

Starting in the 2024-25 academic year, Concordia University Texas will lower tuition costs and offer free textbooks to provide transparency on total expenses for students and families. This initiative aims to increase access to a Concordia University Texas education, by reducing financial barriers. The strategy includes simplifying tuition, maintaining targeted scholarships, and funding experiential education programs. Read more about the program here.
