AC Forum Staff Volunteers at Cradles to Crayons
On July 24, AC Forum staff dedicated their time to volunteering at The Giving Factory, an initiative of Cradles to Crayons focused on supporting children and families across New England. We took part in sorting through bins of donated items, quality checking, and preparing clothing donations for distribution.
Our collective efforts with other volunteers during the shift made a significant impact. We sorted through 12 full bins of donated clothing, separated 70+ carts of clothing by gender and size, prepared 3 large orders for distribution, and assembled over 1,100 school kits!
We are proud to contribute to this cause and support Cradles to Crayons in their mission to end clothing insecurity for children. It was an honor to assist in such meaningful work, and we are grateful for the opportunity to give back and support our community.

Meet our newest staff member: Alex
AC Forum board and staff are thrilled to welcome Alex Zolotov to the AC Forum team!
As Marketing Manager, Alex will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to increase awareness of the AC Forum's mission and resources. He will oversee a wide range of marketing initiatives, including website management, content creation, campaign development, and event coordination. Alex will also play a crucial role in building and maintaining relationships with key Committee stakeholders and industry partners.
Prior to joining AC Forum, Alex held the position of Marketing Manager at GeBBS Healthcare Solutions. In this role, Alex spearheaded marketing efforts with a primary focus on campaign development, educational initiatives for Health Information Management (HIM) and Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) professionals, and conference management.
We asked Alex to share a little more about himself:
Do you have any hobbies?
Beyond my professional pursuits, I hold a deep passion for art, Greek history, and philosophy. Currently, I enjoy working with watercolors, pastels, and colored pencils (as seen on my website at www.alexzolotov.com), In the future, I aspire to learn more about the world of art restoration, where I can combine my love for art with historical preservation.
| |
Do you have any pets?
Yes, I have two adorable terriers! Odin, a Westie Terrier, is six years old, and Stella, a Norwich Terrier, is eight. They are inseparable best friends who love chasing squirrels and chipmunks, and go on daily walks together.
What is your favorite family tradition?
Our family has a unique birthday tradition: cutting the cake over the birthday person's head! It's a fun and playful way to celebrate, symbolizing a fresh start and showering the birthday person with good luck for the coming year. Once the cake-cutting ritual is complete, we all enjoy the delicious cake together.
If you could meet any celebrity, who would it be and what would you do?
If I could meet any celebrity, it would be Socrates or Plato. Imagine the possibility of engaging in a dialogue with one of the founding fathers of Western philosophy! I'd be eager to ask their thoughts on important issues, explore the origins of their stories, and gain insights into their perception of the cosmos.
What is an interesting fact about yourself?
I have a unique background in traditional astrology. I earned a diploma from Kepler College, which means I'm technically qualified to write horoscopes or interpret astrological charts.
Aside from necessities, what one thing could you not go a day without?
Beyond necessities, I couldn't imagine a day without meditation. It's become an essential part of my routine. I started meditating daily in the summer of 2020 and haven't looked back since—I'm currently on a streak of over 750 days!
What is the most daring thing you’ve done? (I.e., your craziest adventure)
One of the most daring things I've done was leave my home country of Russia in my early twenties. With only three semesters of language study under my belt, I took a leap of faith and moved to a completely unfamiliar environment.
Welcome, Alex! We're so glad you decided to take that leap!
