DC Board of Elections Youth Voter Outreach Event
Outreach Event: Working Title/# Ward 7 Community Strong

Rationale: Organizing a youth outreach event begins with identifying the needs and interests of the young people in THE Ward 7 community. This event seeks to engage Ward 7 youth and its organizations, the drive home the importance of voting. Further, these event Plan activities are both educational and enjoyable, focusing on topics relevant to their lives and futures.
A Ward 7 event organized to attract younger 18 – 30-year-old Ward 7 voters.
WHERE: Capitol View Library 5001 Central Ave SE, Washington, DC 2001
WHO: D9, Jack and Jill/DC Chapter, Ward 7 Police & Fire stations, Ward 7 ANC Commissioners, Girls& Boys Club of America, Ron Brown High School, DC BOE, DC Libraries/Ward 7, local Rec Centers.
WHEN: Saturday, July 20th, 2024 from 11am-4pm
OBJECTIVE: The objective of this event is to effectively engage 18-30-year-olds, providing them with crucial information about the upcoming elections and opportunities to volunteer with the DC Board of Elections. Through this initiative, our aim is to unite the community of Ward 7and engage in a community-oriented manner, offering both educational insights and enjoyable COMMUNITY experience.

Deliverables: Food, Water, Music, Tents, and Tables: There’s a parking lot in front of the community center with 66 spots, plus, one right next to that with about 20. And lastly there is a big parking lot across the street for the rest.
