This group exhibition features four artists who work in a variety mediums. The featured artists are JUS1O Ellis, Joanna Henry, Toye Durrah, and Zaire McPhearson. Their work explores the theme of transformation and the removal of facades seen within the African American community.

AMERICANS FOR THE ARTS ACTION FUND LAUNCHES ARTSVOTE CAMPAIGN

The Americans for the Arts Action Fund has launched its "ArtsVote: Make Your Vote Count" pledge campaign, featuring artwork by renowned contemporary artist and Americans for the Arts Artists Committee member Shepard Fairey.


The organization has created customized State Voter Factsheets for all 50 states and 6 jurisdictions, offering the latest updates on new election rules and deadlines. These one-page factsheets are designed to empower voter education by providing clear, comprehensive information to help voters navigate the complex landscape of voting regulations and deadlines.

ARTISTS TO GATHER FOR CO-OP GALLERY MEETING IN ROCK HILL

A meeting for local artists interested in establishing a co-op art gallery will take place at 1 PM on Saturday, August 31, at the Center for the Arts, located at 121 E Main St, Rock Hill, SC. This event is organized by artist Gene Tennison.


The gathering aims to explore the potential of starting an artist-owned gallery in the Rock Hill area. The discussion will cover various critical topics, including gallery ownership, co-op staff roles, ideal locations, financing options, business organization types, marketing strategies, and more.
