MASS Flash ⚡ Newsletter

Wow, what a conference that was! We had some fabulous speakers, fantastic workshops, and lots of friendship and fun. We want to thank all of our sponsors and exhibitors for their contributions and thank all the self-advocates who came out and made this event such a success. Now onto the next 25 years!

And don't think that just because our conference is over that we're slowing down. It's Pride month and we are so happy to celebrate another year of Rainbow and all of our LGBTQ+ friends. Remember, you are perfect the way you are and we are so glad to have you out there living your authentic lives. Keep scrolling to see what else we've got on tap for the month!

Can you believe Mass Advocates Standing Strong has been around for 25 years now? That’s crazy to me!!! Did I mention this one was our first one back in person since the pandemic happened? It was at The Best Western Royal Plaza Hotel in Marlborough. It was so great seeing everyone again and being around them! One thing is for sure I am never going to take for granted the opportunity to connect with the world ever again!! Also it’s not in my DNA to do so! Once again, this year we had amazing and incredible speakers! We also had a lot of fantastic workshops! As a matter of fact yours truly participated in facilitating a workshop called "Planning For the Life You Want" workshop! Where we talked about how you can build and take control of your own life and future! Did I mention that the conference was covered in two days? So that meant in case you missed any of the wonderful workshops in the experience, you could have seen it all again the next day! I am very happy to see where we go next. Cheers to year 26!

Conference Success

Anna Weinberger, Andrew Carr, Sam Muench, and Mindy Malas

Hear from some of our conference attendees!

"My experience at the conference was wonderful. I loved being able to meet all the people I met online, and helping where I could. There was such a supportive atmosphere, and the amount of people there was astonishing.

"It was valuable to feel valued, and I feel like we did a good job of achieving that at the conference. It was rare to see someone alone except on their own terms, everyone was socializing and having a good time.

"Overall the biggest lesson I learned at the conference was more of an affirmation that MASS is a fun place to work. I might be biased though, I did win an award." - Sam Muench, SALS Trainer
