Library Giving Day is Less than a Week Away! And guess who just increased the match? Library Staff came together to add $1,000 to the existing match. That means from now until April 7, your donation will be matched, dollar for dollar, up to $21,000! That's a lot of match! Will you help us build Sedona's future, one reader at a time?

Faith, pictured above with her mom Heidi Glenn, is excited to enter the reading community of Sedona with her new library card! When you support Sedona Public Library, you support readers of all ages! Donate at sedonalibrary.org/donate.

Rotary Club of Sedona Red Rocks donated their time and the materials to clean up and landscape the front of the Friends of the Library Book Store! This amazing group of people dedicated a Sunday morning in March to this project, and the Library is incredibly grateful for them. We look forward to their return in April to continue the project. Thank you to Donna Hawk, Treasurer for the Friends of the Library, for organizing the event!

Youth Services is celebrating Poetry Month in April! When you stop by Youth Services in April, you can participate in "Poetry in Your Pocket" by writing a poem to leave for others, or picking out a poem to put in your "pocket"! We even have adorable fabric bags, or "pockets", for you to carry your poetry.

We also invite you to help us create a "Poetry Chain" by writing one word on a piece of paper, which we will link together to create a poem and use to decorate Youth Services!
Have you browsed our Local Author Collection? We have many books from local authors, and we love supporting the writers in our own community!

New displays at the Library! Celebrate Earth Month with our “Beautiful Earth…Fragile Earth” display, highlighting the responsibility we all share in working toward protecting our beautiful yet fragile environment.

And, April is also National Poetry Month! Look for our interactive display on Haiku; simple poetry that celebrates nature. The display will include information about Haiku and all the materials you will need to write and share your own Haiku!

The City launched its annual budget survey, which helps City Staff and City Council make more informed decisions in their upcoming budget process. The survey asks 10 questions on a variety of topics, including:

• Trailhead parking
• Co-working space
• Environmental sustainability
• Posse Grounds Park

Please note that simply because an item is not on this list, does not indicate that the City isn’t pursuing it. This list contains a few of the many initiatives the City believes need your input at this moment.

Please take the survey before April 7th. Thank you for participating!
