Curriculum Night for Grades K-4

Parents are invited to learn about each grade level’s curriculum, ask questions, and meet the teachers. Curriculum presentations will be sent by grade level prior to the event, and we will begin each evening with questions and a quick presentation in the Nave. That short presentation will be followed by some fun and fellowship in the classrooms with the teachers.

This is an event each evening from 5:00 to 6:00 P.M. We ask that children not accompany adults during the event. If you have a St. B's student who needs childcare while you attend Curriculum Night, please register here (you will pay for 1 hour of care at the Stingers Squad drop-in rate of $16.00 per hour). PLEASE NOTE: if your child is already registered for Stingers Squad until 6:00 pm on the day your family will attend Curriculum Night, there is no need to go through this registration (the aftercare fees you have already paid include care). Registration will be open until 5:00 pm on September 6, 2024.

Middle School Madness

Middle school parents, we invite you to join us for Middle School Madness (Curriculum Night). This event will provide a glimpse into a typical school day for your student. You will have the opportunity to meet with each of your student’s teachers and rotate through mini-classes.

Carpool Safety

As we are settling into school routines, we are finding some situations are seriously jeopardizing the safety of our students and campus. Please follow these procedures for the main campus carpool:

  • If you are directed to turn towards the 3rd grade cottages for traffic flow, you MUST follow the 3rd-grade carpool traffic flow and continue around the cones. DO NOT CUT THROUGH THE CONES. Students are being walked from the cars to the classrooms, and if you do not follow the traffic flow, it is dangerous for those students being walked to classes.

  • If you are a walker for the main campus (grades K-2), you must still announce and pick up at the top carpool door in the afternoon. If you are a walker for 3rd grade, we ask you to walk to the carpool from the 4th grade HIVE building. There are steps around the basketball goal, and we ask you to use those steps to approach the cottages.

  • Please remember during morning and afternoon carpool that the entrance to the property is ONLY the one by the office, and the exit is ONLY the one by the carpool line. Please do not enter the property in the mornings or the afternoon through the exit. If you are dropping off or picking up for Stingers Squad, you must enter the property by the office, and you may turn in front of the church to park.

  • Please be patient and courteous at all merging points through the carpool line - including the one by Stingers Squad drop-off/pick-up, as well as the ones in the back of the building parallel to Atlanta Road.

  • PLEASE DO NOT PASS OR GO AROUND ANY CARS IN THE CARPOOL LINE. If your child has exited your car, please wait for the cars in front of you before exiting the carpool line. The carpool line where we load and unload students is one lane – not two, and passing cars is very dangerous.

  • Remember, NO CELL PHONE USE during pick-up and drop-off.
  • Please DO NOT allow your child to stand out on the sunroof of your car in the carpool line or sit in the driver's seat as you pull around the carpool line. If seen, we will ask you to please ask your child to stay seated in their seat until it is time to exit your vehicle.

Donate to Our Acorn Fund

Thank you for the incredible Acorn Fund support that we have already received! At all independent schools, tuition does not cover every operating expense. This is certainly the case at St. B’s. As a result, the school depends on the generosity of our community to help close the gap between tuition and the actual cost of educating each student. Parent, board, faculty, and staff participation directly influences the opportunities to receive grants and major gifts from donors. When foundations and donors see that our community gives to The Acorn Fund, they are more apt to support St. B’s.

Your tax-deductible gift impacts every aspect of St. B’s education: our academic, arts, and Spanish programs, our technology offerings, our extracurricular opportunities, our campus and facilities, and professional development for our faculty.

Please consider making your gift this week.
