DC CHARTER SCHOOL FUNDING PETITION - WE NEED YOUR HELP
Attention Paul Parents! We need your support! Mayor Bowser recently presented her draft budget for fiscal year 2024 to the DC City Council for approval. While we are excited that the budget includes over $3 billion dollars for education, we are deeply concerned about the significant disparity in funding that she has awarded to DC Charter Schools in comparison to DC Public Schools. If her budget is approved by the City Council, Paul PCS would receive approximately $2.6 million dollars less than we would if the money in the proposed budget was fairly distributed.

This under-funding of the Charter School Sector in DC is a direct attack on parents' and families' right to choose equitably resourced  school(s) that they desire their child/children to attend. We MUST stand together and urge the DC Council to vote NO to the Mayor's proposed budget. You can support our advocacy by "signing on" to this petition that will be submitted to Council Chair Mendelson and the Committee of the Whole this week.

For more information on this matter, please review the brief video linked here.
