Welcome aboard to Chantal Eshghipour, who joins our Church staff as parish administrator and brings over 20 years of related experience, along with a fervent heart for serving the Lord and His church body.


Chantal’s extensive experience includes executive assistant and program manager of both private and public companies as well as marketing, investor relations and corporate communications assignments.


She holds a Bachelors degree in business and French from San Jose State University.


Come along and meet Chantal as she greets people at the church door this Sunday.

OUTREACH ACTIVITIES

Contact Kathy Kennedy to volunteer for Outreach

Sunday September 8th after church, help make blankets for children who have experienced trauma. They are staying at Life Moves Family Shelters in San Mateo County. If you want to make blankets at home, contact Kathy Kennedy.

Saturday September 14th

10 am to noon at the Portola Valley Town Center

Help make 15,000 meals in 2 hours to empower communities and nourish lives in places like the Philippines, South Africa, Zimbabwe and Kenya.

8:30 am to 10 am, help set up the tables, people needed to carry 50lb bags of rice.

Noon to 1 pm, join the clear up crew

Noon to 1 pm at Christ Church lunch for all


Register for Rise Against Hunger

Sign up your friends, neighbors, relatives and co-workers for Rise Against Hunger too. 100 needed. Setup and cleanup help needed too, before and after the main event. Lunch at Christ Church afterwards. Contact Mary Soubirous

Bring Hotel-Sized Toiletries for the Veterans' Hoptel, a Life Moves shelter in East Palo Alto. Hoptel provides 1 to 3 nights of shelter, along with case management and transportation, to low ­income veterans from out­ of­ town visiting the local VA hospital. Leave the toiletries in the green marked box in the church breezeway. 

 

Saturday September 14th - Ride to End Homelessness - Cycle or Donate

The 10th annual LifeMoves Bicycle Ride to End Homelessness starts at Stanford Research Park located at 3215 Porter Drive in Palo Alto. Rides are from 6 to 68 miles long. Donations are welcome since this is a fund-raiser. For non-riders, come for lunch at noon and learn about Life Moves.
