Can Acupuncture help

chronic back pain?

In many cases, Yes!

Dr. Mashia is a chiropractic physician by training. In addition to the practice of chiropractic medicine, he has also completed the certificate program in "Structural Acupuncture for the Physician" at the Harvard School of Medicine.

He practices a Japanese style of acupuncture based on the work of Master Nagano and internationally known Kiiko Matsumoto. He is also trained in the Mei Zen cosmetic acupuncture system for facial and neck rejuvenation.

From Dr. Mashia:

"Eastern medicine, of which acupuncture is a part, has been practiced for centuries and has provided a unique approach to help prevent and treat disease. Western medicine and eastern medicine ultimately rely on the body's natural healing ability to maintain health and protect against disease. Both have the same goal of helping a person stay healthy. An appropriate combination of both systems offers the best opportunity for health and healing."

Dr. Mashia lives in Harwinton with his wife Lisa and their three daughters.  He loves being part of this small community and wishes to be able to contribute his knowledge to the community to keep it healthy and active.

As always, feel free to call or email with your questions. I’m very happy to help.
