NEMPAC Weekly Spotlight
Executive Director Message
Dear Friends,

Happy September 1st! There are just a few more hours to vote today in the Massachusetts Primary Election. I hope you get out and share your voice if you are able.

This Sunday, September 6th, is the RSVP deadline to attend our NEMPAC Benefit Dinner & Opera program on Sunday, September 13th, from 4 to 6 PM at Tresca Restaurant. The event celebrates ten years of the NEMPAC Opera Project, and net proceeds will benefit NEMPAC! Please contact me for a ticket or table reservation if you have the means to support and/or attend in person.

We are so proud to welcome new faculty members this year at NEMPAC (see below), in addition to welcoming a new member to our administrative team, Bob Ripley! Bob joins us as our new Finance Director with over twenty years of non-profit financial management experience, and we are very enthused to have his expertise at NEMPAC.

Please read below for more news, including coverage of our students' stellar performance in last week's "Make Your Own Show" virtual week-long workshop in partnership with Boston Lyric Opera and VOICES Boston. It's been truly inspiring to see how much our students continue to excel and grow as artists, especially as we transitioned this program online this year.

Have a wonderful week!

Yours In Music & Performing Arts,
Sherri Snow
We believe we are all musicians and performers!

Pictured above are the NEMPAC performers who will serenade our dinner: "Opera from the Balcony" returning favorite (and star of Carmen from NEMPAC Opera Project's very first season!) Tenor Fred C. VanNess Jr., and making her Table 77 Balcony debut, Soprano Vanessa Naghdi.

Tables are still available - please join us in supporting the community at this special event!

NEMPAC is grateful to be a recipient of the Mayor of Boston's Arts and Culture COVID-19 Relief Fund. This funding is vital to our reopening efforts and will help with expenses related to virtual programming, additional cleaning costs, and more, ensuring that the arts continue to thrive.

Thank you to the Mayor of Boston's Office of Arts and Culture for supporting the Boston arts scene during this difficult time! And a heartfelt thank you to all who support NEMPAC and community arts.
