Christmas Message from the President

Dear Parents & Guardians,

As we joyfully celebrate the spirit of Christmas at Trinity High School, our hearts are filled with gratitude as we reflect upon the timeless message of hope, love, and joy that Christmas brings. Your commitment to an all-girls, Catholic education for your daughters is truly the best gift.

As we gather in the light of the Nativity, we extend our heartfelt appreciation for entrusting us with the education and spiritual growth of your Blazer. May the blessings of the Christ Child be abundantly present in your homes, filling them with the love that binds the Trinity family together.

Wishing you a Christmas filled with the timeless joy that only the birth of our Lord can bring, and all His blessings on your new year.

Warmly,

Laura Curley

President

Block 2 Final Exams: coming up soon after Christmas Break

Please note that block 2 final exams will take place for all students the week that we return from the Christmas Break. Please note that the last day for students to turn in work for the block and to complete any reassessments is Tuesday, January 9. Final exams will take place on Thursday, January 11 and Friday, January 12.

For students with ISP’s

As we implemented in block 1 of this school year, all students with ISPs requiring extra time will take all 4 of their final exams in an alternative location, and have their exams on a slightly different schedule. The counselors of students with ISPs have already reached out to them to remind them of the exam protocols. Due to the altered schedule, extended-time testers will not be able to use Trinity transportation on exam days. They will need to arrange for their own transportation home.

Exam schedule

Reminder about senior exemptions

Seniors may exempt their block 2 exam in College Preparatory classes if their teacher allows exemptions if they meet the following conditions:

  • They have a 93 % or higher (as determined on December 20, 2023)
  • They are not on Attendance Probation
  • They are not on Behavior Probation
  • They are not on Academic Probation
  • All fees have been paid (by December 20, 2023)

If students do not meet all of these conditions, they may not exempt any exams. No exceptions will be made.

Trinity buses will run on the final exam days. The buses will depart school at 11:17 am each day.

Cell phone and Smartwatch Policy: New

We have added an additional policy to ensure academic integrity during block exams. Students may not have a cell phone or smartwatch in any examination room. They must leave their devices in their lockers. If a student has a phone or watch with her during an exam she is in danger of receiving a zero on her block exam. This policy has, and will be communicated to students until the beginning of the exam session.

College Counseling

As we head into winter break I wanted to share our Summer Enrichment Guide for 2024. This document lists several opportunities for students to get involved over the summer–internships, pre-college programs, jobs, volunteer work, etc. Many of the opportunities are for juniors and seniors; however, there are some available to all high school students. Myself and the rest of the Student Services Department would encourage you to take some time over break to see if any of these programs are of interest to you. It is a great way to get hands-on experience, explore a career you might be interested in, and start building your resume for college! If you have any questions please feel free to drop by my office or email me (adenz@trinityhs.org).

SENIORS: The transcript request form is currently closed until we return from winter break. The deadline for requests for any of your applications due through January 10th was last Friday, December 15th. This deadline was set in order to give me enough time to make sure all correct materials are sent to the appropriate schools. If you have any concerns prior to break please email me ASAP or drop by my office. No transcripts will be sent between December 21st and January 8th.

I hope everyone enjoys a restful, healthy, and happy holiday season!
