Deaton Dispatch- 6/24/2024

Joe,

Thank you for being one of my top supporters as we wage a positive campaign on behalf of Massachusetts’s working families. I’ve been busy on the campaign trail this week, and want to make sure you know the progress we’re making throughout the Commonwealth to retire Senator Elizabeth Warren and put an end to the corruption in D.C.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT:

I joined Howie Carr on his radio show to discuss my race. As I told Howie, Senator Warren and I could not be two more different candidates. Senator Warren is all about tearing people down and pitting American versus American. Her policies are extremist and offer no real solutions.

I am not into finger-pointing politics. I am about lifting people up. Senator Warren talks about income inequality, but I know what that reality is. I grew up on food stamps and I know what it is to live in generational poverty. I want people to be able to attain the same level of success I fought so hard to achieve.

BUNKER HILL PARADE:

It was great to join the Bunker Hill Parade in Charlestown. There was a ton of energy from attendees and it was nice to meet them and their families. People are ready for change in Washington, and I am truly grateful for so much support.

I always love to run into some fellow U.S. Marines and thank them for their service.

Two of my daughters were able to join in on the fun, which was especially meaningful on Father’s Day! Being a father is the proudest accomplishment of my life. There is no greater love.

WOBURN GREEK FESTIVAL:

I spoke with voters at the Woburn Greek Festival. Families and friends were enjoying the annual celebration, and it was great to engage with them about the issues they want their Senator to address in Washington.

NAHANT RTC SUMMER GARDEN PARTY:

We went to the Nahant RTC Summer Seaside Garden Party. A good time was had by all!

DID YOU KNOW?

A new study found that the most expensive state to pay for a family of four is not California or New York, but Massachusetts. Families need an income of $150,578 just to get by. High inflation, grocery prices, expensive housing and low wages are hurting people in the Commonwealth. Senator Warren tries to say the economy is doing well, but any person at the gas pump or trying to pay rent knows that’s not true. It is unacceptable that Massachusetts is the most expensive state for working families.

I grew up poor in Highland Park, Michigan. I know the anxiety far too many of you feel not knowing how you will be able to provide for your family despite doing the best you can. You deserve a Senator who will fight for the working and middle class, not big corporations and special interest groups.
