CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES:
Next week, crews will be on-site between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. to begin clearing and grubbing along U.S. Route 7 (U.S. 7) between Simon’s Chimney Corner Store and Wiley Road, and in the vicinity of the I-89 southbound off-ramp. Crews will continue to install erosion prevention and sediment control measures throughout the project area. This work will take place off the roadway.
Independent utility companies will also be on-site near the intersection of U.S. 2 and the I-89 Exit 17 Interchange to continue conducting utility relocations with minor impacts to traffic.
There is potential for nighttime construction activities to begin on Sunday, June 2, 2024, along U.S. 7, starting just south of the Shell Gas Station/Simon’s Chimney Corner Store and extending north to Wiley Road. This work will take place Sunday through Thursday between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.
