This semester, Capital is hosting several worship opportunities for the entire community. For more information, contact Rev. Dan Hille at dhille@capital.edu.
Chapel is every Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Gloria Dei Worship Center and is rooted in traditions familiar to many kinds of Christians with more formal liturgies. This is where students, faculty, staff, and administrators come together for worship.
For those looking. for something more relaxed, Candlelight is a worship experience that gathers every Thursday at 8:08 p.m. in Gloria Dei Worship Center at Trinity. Come expecting music and a more informal setting with singing, scripture, and conversations in a Christ-centered, student-led service that feels more nondenominational and includes Christians of all stripes.
In addition to these university-sponsored worship opportunities, Trinity Lutheran Seminary hosts worship Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday at 10 a.m. and invites all to participate.
Beyond Christian worship opportunities there is an Interfaith Prayer Room located in Trinity Lutheran Seminary, room 120. This space was designed and dedicated for the meditation, prayer, and/or quiet reflection of students from every spiritual background. Located in the room are prayer cushions, prayer mats, sacred texts, and items of devotional practice from several world religions. The Interfaith Prayer Room is open to the entire Capital community.
